Pete Bullard, Ph.D.
Founder & Director, American Tescor, LLC
Peter Bullard is the Director of American Tescor LLC, a company he founded in 1979. Dr. Bullard is also a licensed psychologist and an Adjunct Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Portland State University (PSU). He has led several research teams at PSU investigating pre-employment screening methods.
Prior to founding American Tescor, Dr. Bullard was a management psychologist with RHR International and later an independent Industrial/Organizational psychologist with a US clientele. In these capacities he consulted with many leading organizations nationally.
Originally trained as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Bullard received his Ph.D. in 1971 from the University of Washington. His undergraduate studies were completed at Hobart College (B.S. degree in Biology & Psychology), and he began his graduate work at California State University in Los Angeles.
He was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Wake Forest University from 1971 to 1975. He is a past president of the Portland Psychological Association. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Puget Sound Industrial & Organizational Psychology Association, the Oregon Psychological Association, the Washington State Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Dr. Bullard is an innovative leader in the test publishing field. He has published several articles in professional journals concerning leadership, pre-employment screening and other topics. His book, Coping with Stress: A Psychological Survival Manual, received critical acclaim and strong worldwide sales.
